East Chamber Music is a Canadian publisher of worship music, exclusively by Canadian composers.
Our catalogue offers hymns, anthems, and praise songs for every moment of the service: gathering, prayer, communion, the seasons of the church year, and sending forth. From congregational singing to settings for church choir, our editions are practical, singable, and grounded in a distinctly Canadian voice.
We serve choir directors, worship leaders, accompanists, soloists, and congregations looking for fresh, accessible music that encourages reflection, builds community, and deepens worship across denominations and traditions.
East Chamber Music also presents live opportunities for musicians and composers. Our “Musician Spotlight Series” introduces a featured musician each month to Sunday services, providing a platform to perform, lead hymns, and connect with the local community. The “Classical Concert Series” is a festival of classical performances held in the GTA, particularly near Stouffville and Uxbridge, bringing high-quality chamber music to local audiences. “ComposerFEST” and “ArtsongLAB” offers composers mentorship through a month-long workshop, culminating in performances and recordings of newly completed works, fostering both artistic growth and public engagement.

We are dedicated to fostering a vibrant music community through festivals, education, networking, and ongoing collaboration. By offering resources such as SOCAN registration, OneLicense licensing, and strategic score promotion, we aim to help composers expand their reach and succeed in the ever-evolving music industry. Through initiatives like the Musician Spotlight Series, Classical Concert Series, and composerFEST, we create meaningful opportunities for performance, mentorship, and community connection, bringing audiences and musicians closer together.

dr. daniel mehdizadeh, founder & president
Daniel Mehdizadeh is a Canadian composer and conductor with a deep passion for vocal and choral music. He currently serves as Music Director at St. Andrew’s-Chalmers Presbyterian Church and previously held the role of Composer-in-Residence with the Scarborough Philharmonic Orchestra (SPO) for three consecutive seasons. Daniel is committed to nurturing emerging talent, mentoring young composers through both East Chamber Music and the SPO’s composer festivals. His works have been performed internationally, and he has multiple commercial recordings with Akashic Classics, distributed by Universal Music Group.
